Yes, a detailed diet plan will be provided for panchakarma detox which must be adhered to. Other dos and don’ts include:
- Matra basti (oil enema) - done post lunch, make sure you have a large meal right before session.
- Kada basti - enema done early morning, come empty stomach, no tea or smoothies or juices to be had. Only water permitted.
- Massages - ensure treatment is done 1-2 hours post meal.
- Milk - If you have milk, have only A2 milk. (Avoid A1).
- Food and drink - Avoid non veg, alcohol, smoking completely during treatment days. Incorporate 1 teaspoon of ghee per day in your meal.
- Environment - Avoid using AC and direct fan.
- Exercise - Avoid Gym, running, weights training, cardio training completely during treatment. Only yoga is permitted before treatment (not after).
- Other guidelines - No treatments can be done when you have cold, cough, fever, periods. Avoid milk based teas and coffees, and caffeine. Avoid wheat based items, refined flour (maida), complex carbs, fried foods, junk, raw salads, juices, smoothies. Take a shower after one -2 hour of treatments. Dinner must be completed before 7pm. Between, 5-7am Large intestine and colon becomes active. Bowel movement is clear and healthier before 7am. So, wake up early, do some light exercise, to activate colon.
During your panchakarma treatment, you will have a dedicated WhatsApp group chat created to keep track of your symptoms on a daily basis. You will receive daily reminder messages on your treatment slots, time, and dos and don’ts.

Usually the treatments take 60 minutes per session. You can do treatment packages for 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, 8 days or 10 days and more based on what has been prescribed by the doctors.
